Yesterday (Friday) school was cancelled because of a “Spring Snowstorm”. The thing though, there was hardly any snow. But it kept snowing and by the time we woke up this morning my fire escape window was full of snow and there was foot of snow on the ground. I was super excited because when you live in the country, snow makes everything look so pure and white. Plus the icy white snow is extremely tasty. I found myself wishing that Christmas had been this great. I went sledding with my sister and a couple of friends down they’re grandparents huge hill. It was hilarious, when you hit a drift you either ate it or you flipped. Many birds were also eating out of our feeders including cardinals. My whole family loves to watch the birds eat food from the feeders and fly around.
The only thing that could of made this snow day better would be if it was longer. By the end of today or tomorrow the snow will be gone and left behind will be the frozen flowers and plants that had been covered by the white blanket.
